you will be seeing the tipi mostly in the library because the main purpose is for people to read and relax. At the same time, we kind of wanted to give a tiny bit of a nostalgic vibe since it is a place free of distractions and technology. when we planned the process of making the tipi, we kept in mind to make it portable, so that way, it would be easier to access. setting up the tipi is super simple, and isn't too time-consuming. when it is stored away, all the accessories (the pillows, stuff-animals, and blankets) will be put into a bin. The dowels that hold the structure of the tipi together is able to close together with the fabric still on it. So when you want to use the tipi, all you have to do is expand the dowels until it is in its normal structure, and then set up the accessories to your liking! it is such a fun, relaxing, and comfy place to go to, and definitely adds a unique touch to the library.

this tipi is a labour of love, decorated particularly with the aesthetics of creators, still while keeping the desires of the user in mind. our tipi is easily collapsible and portable, an idea that was crucial in creating our product due to the lack of space in the area in which it would be used. we believe that this is important because it adds convenience and we really think that this is something our consumers will appreciate. the tipi is also decorated with homemade pillows, colourful accents, and hand-picked blankets and additional plush decor. our design is also easily customizable, as it is created with a neutral woven fabric, with just that in mind! make it to fit your needs. let your imagination run wild!

the making of the tipi.

where can you find it and how does it work?

what is it?

the tipi began as a prototype for an in class assignment, but after cutting, measuring and gluing all the fabrics, we decided it would be fun and useful to have a real life version. we researched and learned how to make a tipi, bought the materials, and within a few class blocks of sewing, gluing, and constructing...

a tipi was made!
